Thief, Scam artist. Do not be fooled!
Martin came to my house and saw the scope of work. We needed 2 bathroom and 1 kitchen faucet installed, a garbage disposal, the water heater put back in., a new toilet installed and a small repair to the sprinklers. He quoted us $240 for the work. We said OK and agreed that he would start the next day. He said he needed $150 for parts so we gave him the cash. The next day he arrived hours late and put the kitchen faucet together, installed the toilet and the 2 bathroom faucets. He said he needed to come back to finish but needed $100 for the days work. We wrote him a check for $100 and scheduled the next visit. The next day (Sunday), he sent me a text saying he needed $133 more for some more parts. He came by and picked up $133 more in cash. ( I have this all on text, also conforming the first $100 I gave him). The next day he came by to tell me he needed more money. I questioned why there were so many different types of pipes under the kitchen sink and especially a shiny material that I had never seen. (It's usually PVC). I also asked him why the toilet was leaking and why the bathroom faucets were both leaking...as well as the kitchen. I also asked him for receipts to all of the parts we paid for. He said he doesn't have receipts because he used some of his own material and he got VERY defensive. I asked him why he charged us ahead if he had the parts and he started going crazy and yelling at me. I asked him for the parts that I paid for and he stormed out. ALL 3 faucets (underneath connection) were not just leaking, but water was running though it like a faucet. Also the toilet would just run with no stop. We had to call another plumber out and he charged us $300 to correct his work. He said he had never seen anything put together this way and that he was using used & the cheapest of cheap materials. He used used hoses (which cost $5.00 brand new) and valves that nobody had ever see . He never gave us the parts that we paid for or fixed one thing correctly. He didnt only steal $330 from us -- he also cost us another $300 to fix his faulty work. I text him that night (after I saw every review on yelp was a 1 star and that he did the same thing to every single person on there) and asked him to return my money. He will not refund any money and has no remorse. I have all of the faulty parts that he brought over and would like a refund for all of it and would like him put out of business. How many times can someone get taken to small claims court, not show up and continue doing this?
