Total Scam Business

Told one of our employees that I told them that that employee was in charge of ordering toner for that printer. Total lie. We received the toner today. Phone number and fax number on packing list are bad. Cannot get in touch with these loser scumbags. Had a run in with them a couple of years ago, and that's where they got my name from. Guess I got a free toner.....Good luck collecting.

BCA's Summary and Analysis:

Of the complaints we have received against this company in at least some cases the complaint allegations are very serious. Complainants allege the company uses misleading and deceptive tactics to sell toner products. Complainants allege company representatives often misrepresent that they are the businesses regular toner supplier and sends unwanted or unordered merchandise to businesses along with invoices that have been marked up considerably. In some cases complainants allege they never received any products and were harassed to pay the invoice. ~~Typically the company responds to complaints by denying the allegations claiming they received authorization to place and deliver the order and indicating they have recorded confirmation of the authorization. The company also responds by stating they would issue a return label and cancel invoices when merchandise is returned.~~

Comments and Analysis

Before you accept or pay for any merchandise that arrives under less-than-clear circumstances protect yourself by insisting on proof that an order was placed. If no proof is provided offer to return the merchandise at no cost to you. Give them a specific and reasonable amount of time (30 days etc.) to pick up the merchandise. Tell the sellers that you reserve the right to keep the merchandise or dispose of it after the specified time has passed. ~~Businesses should designate a person or team of employees to handle supply order and payments. Employees should be trained not to provide information regarding their office equipment or supplies to unsolicited callers. Instead they should gather the information of the caller and inform them that a message will be relayed to the appropriate individual that handles the orders for the office. Never provide a name of the person because the scammer can use this to claim that person authorized the order. If you receive unordered products refuse the delivery. Even if an employee mistakenly agrees to accept the delivery a business is not required to pay for unordered supplies. They are considered a gift and do not have to be returned. ~
