I was supposed to have a cleaner at the house on April 15. She canceled due to a medical emergency. When I went to follow-up, I saw that HomeAdvisor had withdrawn the fee for the service the day before, April 14. Their stated policy is they withdraw the fee 30 minutes after the service is scheduled to be completed. They didn't follow their policy. No one contacted me about a refund or reschedule of the service until after I complained that they deducted the money from my account despite the fact that the service had not been performed. They sent me a message saying that they rescheduled the service for April 24 and that it was complimentary and free of charge. They kept my money without asking if I wanted a refund, scheduled a new service day without asking when would be convenient, repeatedly told me that the new appointment was free of charge, but told me they were using the money they already took from me to pay for the new service. I have asked repeatedly to speak to a manager. They keep saying they understand but they don't get it that the service on April 24 will not be free of charge if they keep the money they took from my account the day before the original service date in violation of their policy. Resolution Sought Refund my money and perform the service on April 24 free of charge.
